About Me
I would like the students to know that I have recently returned back to the US from South Korea after living and teaching English there for ten years. I'm excited to be back and use the skills I learned over there and apply it to the classroom back here. The way I approach the classroom is to have an open mind, be respectful, and encourage students to be their best. My greatest pleasure in teaching are those times when I finally get my students to have that "Ah-ha" moment and everything just clicks. When my students feel proud and excited, I feel the same.
Education
Graduated from the University of Florida in 2011. I graduated with a B.A. in Anthropology and specialized in Cultural Anthropology.
Teaching Experience
I have almost 10 years of teaching ESL in South Korea from October 2013 - May 2023. I taught age ranges from K-12 and adult. Throughout my time in Korea I also taught business English classes in one-on-one and group settings at various companies including Samsung, SK Group, and Emart. From January 2012- September 2013 I worked a long-term substitute at Palm Beach Central High School.
Interests
When I'm not teaching you can find me at the gym or playing sports. If its a major sporting event, I'll be there supporting my favorite team. Other days I could be hiking around nature trails, enjoying a day at the beach, building or tinkering my computer, or attending local festivals or events. I try to make the most out of experiences in life, so so I always make time for anything new and exciting.
